Jau atta (barley flour)

Jau atta (barley flour) is a high-fibre flour known for its cooling and digestive benefits. It helps manage cholesterol, supports weight control, and keeps you feeling full for longer. With its wholesome, nutty flavour, jau atta is ideal for rotis, flatbreads and nutritious everyday meals.

Take 2 cups of water and add a pinch of salt (optional). Boil it and gradually mix 2 cups of flour (atta) to create a firm dough. Divide into small portions and gently roll into rotis using dry flour if required. Cook on a pre-heated tawa on medium heat until both sides are evenly cooked. Serve hot with vegetables, dal or curd.
